A Leeds-based law firm has been highlighted as a top employer in a survey of trainee solicitors.
Walker Morris ranked in the top five law firms in the UK for trainee satisfaction in the Lex 100 guide, compiled by Legalease.
The survey interviewed trainees at 126 firms around the UK and asked them to rate their employers and environment on a range of criteria, such as job satisfaction and quality of work, reports the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Graduate partner at the firm, Tom Peel, told the paper that Walker Morris is “delighted” with the results of the survey.
He added: “We continually endeavour to give our trainees the best quality and most extensive experience we can.
“Due to the continued growth of the firm, we have recently increased the number of trainee solicitors that we recruit to 20 per year, which makes us the highest recruiter of trainees solicitors in Leeds.”
Walker Morris received six rosettes and came fourth in the UK for quality of work and living up to its trainees’ expectations in the survey.
It ranked second for firm friendliness and was top in terms of social life.
