A Rotherham-based medical equipment firm is expected to give an upbeat report at its annual general meeting today.
DawMed’s shareholders will hear that due to high-tender wins and the stronger performance of its Wassenburg equipment, coupled with a rise in chemical sales, its outlook is rosy, reports the Business Desk.
The firm’s turnover has also been boosted by a new contract it has won with the East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust, to supply, install and test its decontamination equipment.
Chairman Kevin Gilmore told the news website: “It is our amended strategy that has been largely responsible for the considerable success in recent months and hopefully for the continuation of that success during the second half of this year.”
He added that the company is also pleased to have been named the exclusive distributor for Meiko bed-pan washer machines in England, Scotland and Wales.
This contract will add another “top quality product” to the firm’s portfolio, he said.
DawMed was established 35-years-ago and is now the largest manufacturer of medical washer disinfector dryers in the UK.
It supplies the NHS and its staff have a wealth of specialised knowledge in this area.
