Yorkshire will be making an effort to boost its trade links with Romania this month.
On Friday March 14th a business lunch seminar will take place in Leeds to coincide with the visit of Mr Ion Jinga, who has just been appointed as the new Romanian ambassador to the UK.
At the lunch, Mr Jinga will launch a new business initiative called the Central and Eastern Europe Business network and discuss opportunities for trade between the two regions.
Last month, Leeds welcomed a group of Italian delegates to the city from the legal sector.
The delegates stayed for three days and Leeds Legal invited them into its offices during the stay and described the opportunities for trade in the legal industry in Leeds.
In related news, local landscaping firm Marshals announced this week that it intends to open ten new display centres as part of its continuing expansion programme.
The firm made the announcement as it revealed that its profits for the 12 months leading up to December increased.
